Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Sr. Product Manager (Financing & Payments in Checkout) to lead Vroom’s customer experience. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to work alongside a talented team of designers, developers and data scientists. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team, make a big impact, and help us scale Vroom’s business.

You will:

  • Own the roadmap for increasing finance acceptance, merchandising attachment strategy in our self service checkout flow and reduce friction in our payment experiences.
  • Be a leader amongst peers with deep experience in product management, both on the consumer and platform verticals.
  • Lead teams to successfully generate ideas and move them from strategy to execution.
  • Directly manages relationships with business stakeholders.
  • Determine prioritization of key deliverables to drive the business OKRs.
  • Integral part of the engineering team that will build the platform features.
  • You manage requests from many different areas of the business, prioritizing accordingly.
  • You enjoy finding technical solutions to improve business processes.
  • You are ready to roll up your sleeves and serve the team wherever there is a need.
  • Effective collaboration comes naturally to you, as well as alignment with a team of engineers, designers and analysts, both within your functional team and with cross-functional teams.
  • You are able to blaze a trail or go with the flow; you are comfortable adapting and helping your team adapt when priorities shift.
  • Bar raisers. Our team wants to be challenged and is looking for a PM to partner with them figuring out how to achieve goals faster and better

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in related discipline.
  • 1 years of direct product experience and experience leading a team.
  • Consumer financing or related industry experience.
  • Have experience with CRMs, chat, and/or customer account portals.
  • Are an experienced product manager with a passion for technology – the person in this role is not just concerned about what we build, but how we build it.
  • Comfortable working with APIs and datasets. You understand technical infrastructure and vision, and where you do not understand, you are not afraid to ask questions and seek to understand.
  • Have demonstrated ability to take high-level technical concepts and break them down into prioritized roadmaps and plans in partnership with engineering.
  • Are proficient at understanding data flow and data structure to power analytics and are competent at collecting, interpreting, and creating actionable insights from datasets.
  • Have demonstrated experience managing complex software and process development to achieve business objectives, particularly Agile development methodologies
