Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and design scalable data solutions.
Develop and maintain data pipelines to collect, process, and store data from various sources.
Optimize data storage and retrieval processes to ensure maximum performance and efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
Implement data security and privacy measures to protect sensitive government information.
Stay up-to-date with the latest data engineering technologies and best practices.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Expertise in designing and implementing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
Hands-on experience with big data technologies, including Hadoop, Spark, or similar.
Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with cloud-based data storage and processing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience with data modeling and database design principles.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
