It Will Be The Responsibility Of The Multi-Site WHS Manager To Provide WHS Support To Multiple Sites In Their Region In Order To Implement Company Safety Policies And Guarantee Compliance With All Applicable Local And Regional Regulations. You Will Lead Initiatives For Continuous Improvement Based On Lean Principles And Kaizens To Reduce Conditional And Ergonomic Risk In Our Processes So That Our Associates Can Work In A Safe And Healthy Environment. Through Providing Comprehensive Risk Assessments And Safety Data Analysis, A Successful Multi-Site WHS Manager Will Demonstrate The Capacity To Inspire Change While Also Fostering Trust And Confidence Among The Operations Team.

The Multi-Site WHS Manager Must Be An Effective Communicator And Send Clear, Concise And Consistent Messages, Both Verbally And In Writing.  You Will Instruct And Train Operations Leaders In Amazon Safety Policies And Assist The Operations Site Teams In Incorporating Our Safety Standards At Their Site.  In Order To Continuously Improve The Safety Landscape, You Will Work To Identify Best Practices And Incorporate These Standard Methodologies Into Our Standards. When Working With Operations, The Multi-Site WHS Manager Will Be Able To Demonstrate Their Proficiency In Environmental And Ergonomics, As Well As Excellent Knowledge Of Safety Programs.

 

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

Possess A Thorough Understanding Of Local/Regional Regulations And Company Policy.

Provide Direction And Supervision To Ensure That All Applicable Amazon WHS Policies Are Adhered To. Measure Sites’ Performance Against Published Requirements In WHS Policies.  Create A Strategy For The Site To Implement And Address All Deficiencies That Have Been Identified. Deliver High-Quality, On-Time Projects To Operations. Analyze WHS Metrics And Review Incident Weekly And Monthly Incident Trends To Discover Trends To Rationalize The Allocation Of Appropriate Resources To Areas Where The Safety Risk Is Highest.

 

  • Conduct Regular Safety Audits Of The Site To Find Any Equipment Or Processes That Are Not In Compliance. Implement Solutions To Eliminate Exposure To These Risks And Prevent Injury At Other Fcs.
  • Audit Record-Keeping Practices And Gensuite Entries To Be Aligned With Global Safety Standards And Local Regulations.

 

To Ensure That Training, Auditing, And Scoring Methods Are Accurate And Consistent, Conduct An Audit Of The Workplace Organization And Associate Behaviors. Spend Some Time At The Delivery Stations And Inquire About Opportunities For Enhancing The Safety Program From Teams, Associates, And Leaders.

 

Maintain Open Communication Regarding The Progress Being Made And The Solution To These Suggestions. Make Sure That Associates And The Leadership Of The Site Have Received Training And Are Aware Of Their Responsibilities Under Each Policy. Examine The Quality, Effectiveness, And Delivery Of All Required Safety Training, Including Trainer Qualifications. Ability To Travel Fifty To Seventy Percent Of The Time.

 

Must Be Flexible Regarding Shifts.

Adult First Aid, CPR, And AED Certification From The American Heart Association Or American Red Cross Must Be Obtained Within Three Weeks Of Start Date For Those Who Do Not Already Have One.

 

Basic Requirements

A Bachelor’s Degree Or More Than Two Years Of Experience In Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) 3+ Years Of Increasing Responsibilities In WHS And/Or Environmental Programs In Manufacturing, Production, Or Service Operations

Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, Including Comfort Interfacing With Site Leaders

Ability To Create And Implement Departmental Strategies And Goals Strong Analytical Skills And Demonstrated Ability To Solve Problems Favorite Qualifications Safety Experience In A Distribution Center Or Manufacturing Facility With At Least 250 Exempt And Non-Exempt Employees Is Preferred. Prefer A Master’s Degree Experience In A Fast-Paced, Changing/Growing Organization

 

 Certified Safety Professional Preferred

  • Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, Including Comfort Collaborating With Site Leaders.
  • Ability To Create And Implement Departmental Strategies And Goals. Strong Analytical Skills With Demonstrated Problem Solving Ability.
  • Ability To Adapt Well To Fast-Paced Environments With Changing Circumstances, Direction, And Strategy
  • Proficient In Microsoft Office And The Use Of Pivot Tables And The Development Of Charts And Graphics.
